Merry Christmas!

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” Matthew 1:23

That moment in history when Jesus was born, the world was in dire need of a Savior.  In that day, the people who came to know this baby as the Christ, as their personal Savior, came to understand and to celebrate, that in Him, their sins were forgiven and that they had a right standing with God.  The very first Christmas!

Today as we celebrate Christmas, the same Good News, “for there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”  (Luke 2:11) has traveled down through the ages from person to person until this moment and it is the same life changing truth for us as it was in days of old.  Christmas is our celebration of the birth of the Christ, the Savior for all of mankind.  Wow! The greatest gift ever given was the gift from God the Father to us, the gift of Jesus.

This Christmas may have a little different look for some of us.  Maybe you are in a hard place in your life today, maybe you have no job, your health is not so good or you have lost a loved one and things look pretty bleak but the Father wants you to know that He loves you and that He will never leave you or forsake you, its part of the “gift”.  I want to challenge you to allow the faith that brought you to life in Christ, to be the strength that you need in all the circumstances of your life.

Our prayer is that in all the excitement or all the circumstances life brings, that we remember the main thing, “for there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”  (Luke 2:11)

Our partnership in the Gospel through Harvest North America gives us an opportunity to share “The Gift of Jesus” with the people of the USA.  Thank you for being a blessing to this work!

Christmas time at the Enloe’s is an exciting time of the year, probably my favorite time of the year!  People all around seem to have a sweeter spirit!  We always have lots of family around and much more food than we need to eat, but it is great!!!

We wish you a Merry Christmas and may God richly bless you and yours in this Christmas Season.

Love,
Doyle and Carolyn
